Cancer Diary - Part 14
Oct. 27th, 2018 01:10 pmI got a letter form my consultant today. It said I had "an unusual benign sclerosing lesion with some hyperplasia". He also said "in the background was a classical type lobular carcinoma in situ." But I "definitely don't need radiotherapy or hormonal treatment."
So my take from this was that the thing they removed was a hard but benign lumpy thing which did have some pre-cancerous characteristics. LCIS is also a pre-cancerous state. That's why they are not treating it any further.
See you in a year.
